Girls visit Great Grandma

This past week, Dana, her mom and the girls went to Illinois to visit their great grandma, they spent about 4-5 days up there. Dana said they just played and played, but I think they played too much. Because when they got home the girls and Dana wanted to sleep a lot over the next few days. Pics will be coming shortly.

Lanier and her teeth

OK here's the deal, we think that lanier will have all her baby teeth before Harlan gets her 5th one. lanier is now up to 12. On the top she has 4 in the front and then one on each side further back, then on the bottom she has the 4 in the front, and then one on each side under the the ones in the back. Harlan still has just her front four, 2 on the top, 2 on the bottom.

Harlan lend a helping hand

This AM Lanier had a slight running nose, mom was trying to wipe it but Lanier was not in the mood for such things. Harlan then went across the room, grabbed the nose sucker and stuck it right under Lanier's nose for mom to use. Pretty smart baby there.

Lanier and 2 baby steps

Well Lanier was the first one to really make any attempt at walking. Now granted she didn't go anywhere, but she took some steps in the direction. She did a left foot, then right, then left then fell. It was kinda cute to watch.

Do we have a biter

Well it seems that we may be on the verge of having a biter in the group. It seems that Harlan as a self-defense/game has learned that biting Lanier, she seems to get what she wants most of the time. We think it started as a self-defense but now it is a game. Harlan will hold out a toy for Lanier and when lanier gets close, Harlan will stike like a snake and try to grab hold. Kinda cute, but we are not quite sure how to stop this.

We were able to get Lanier from pulling hair, so I'm sure we'll figure this one out.

more and more teeth

Well we seem to be having a teeth explosion over here, well at least Lanier is.

So our tooth count is

Harlan - 4
Lanier - 7

Lanier's last 3 have come poke through in the last week and we just noticed the 7th tooth today when I was playing with her. These teeth are not all the way out, but are sticking through enough to tell they are sharp as all get out.

We are trying to encourage Harlan to grow her's. Although it doesn't seem to be working yet. :)

few and far between

I know I know I have been a little lax on the posts as of late. But this is what we have been up to.

Lanier had her OT/PT visit only to do half of it since the OT person was out so we have to go back. But Lanier did good on the PT part, but they still have some concern for you foot and the way she uses it. Nothing major though.

The PT person said after she confers with the OT person, they may want her to come back for one more visit, just to make sure everything is going good.

The girls are getting so big now, not yet big enough to ride frontways in the car seats but getting close. Lanier is right at the limit, but we decided to switch them at the same time.

As far as posts go, I'm trying to get momma to post some since she has a new laptop.
